Choosing plants because you like them is all very well, but if you pick the wrong colors they will clash and provide an ugly garden bed. To help you choose colors that go together you can use a color wheel. Using the wheel you can pick colors that are adjacent or complementary. Other schemes are triadic, polychromatic and monochromatic. All these terms are explained by Paul James from Gardening By The Yard in the video below.


Really neat to see an old clip of Paul James , The Gardening Guy. I miss all the good gardening programs on HGTV and feel the name of the show should be changed to HTV…there are seldom any gardening shows.
